Automatic Payment Agreement

ACE American Insurance Company, a Chubb Company, and its affiliated insurers in the Chubb Group (collectively, “Chubb” or “Us”) are providing you with the option to enroll in an automatic payment program. By clicking “I Accept the Terms & Conditions” or “Enroll in AutoPay”, you are agreeing to all of the terms and conditions for this program. You are also agreeing that clicking “I Agree” for the “I Accept the Terms & Conditions” or the “Enroll in AutoPay” constitutes your digital signature, with the same validity as your physical signature.


You understand that by participating in the AutoPay Registration Program, you agree to meet the requirements and to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Automatic Payment Agreement (the 'Agreement'). From time to time, and at any time, you understand that the terms and conditions of this Agreement may be changed, modified, supplemented, or updated without advance notice, and that you will be bound by such changes, modifications, supplements, and/or updates until your participation in the AutoPay Registration Program is terminated. Your continued use of the AutoPay Registration Program following the posting of any changes, modifications, supplements, or updates to these terms will mean that you accept such changes, modifications, supplements, and/or updates. You are encouraged to review this website periodically for changes modifications, supplements, and updates.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

1.) Payment Method:

a.) Electronic ACH: This Agreement provides you with the ability to pay your insurance premium electronically for one or more policies issued by ACE American Insurance Company or one of its affiliated property and casualty insurers affiliated with Chubb INA Holdings Inc. (all such entities are collectively referred to in this Agreement as “Chubb”). By accepting this Agreement, you consent and authorize Chubb to initiate electronic or other commercially accepted-type debits against the indicated bank account that you entered for the payment of premiums for your Chubb policy(ies) and other applicable charges (such as policyholder surcharges and taxes) due on the billing account number listed and any renewals or replacement on the listed account. You further authorize Chubb to deposit credit/refunds if any (such as return premium), into your account. You also acknowledge it is your responsibility to ensure the correctness of your account information as well as ensure the account has sufficient funds available to pay your bill.
b.) Credit/Debit: By accepting this Agreement, you authorize Chubb, to charge the credit card or debit the debit card account that you have specified in the amount due shown on your billing statement. You agree that the payment card account specified by you for automatic bill payments is, and will continue to be, an account that you own, and that you will maintain sufficient availability under your credit card limit, or sufficient funds in the account linked to your debit card, as applicable, to pay your bill. You further authorize Chubb to forward credit/refunds if any, to the card of record whenever possible.
c.) Storage of Information: By accepting the Agreement, you authorize Chubb to store your bank account, credit card, or debit card information that you have provided for your participation in the AutoPay Registration Program. You acknowledge that such storage may be performed by Chubb or a third party at the direction of Chubb.

2.) Timing:

The automatic charge to your bank account, credit card, or debit to your debit card account will occur on or after the statement due date shown on your statement. Your billing statement, and/or other electronic notifications including but not limited to e-mail messages will constitute your notice of any variance in the amount that will be charged to your credit card or debited to your debit card or bank account.

3.) Notifications/Withdrawal of Consent:

While registered in this AutoPay Registration Program, you consent to receive email confirmations of payments charged to your payment card account. It is your responsibility to update your email address in the AutoPay Registration Program system with your current email address. Chubb will not be responsible for email confirmations that are not received as a result of delivery failures out of Chubb’s control (i.e. spam blockers). You may update your email address by contacting one of the following means:

For Commercial Insurance Customers:

Log-in to www.sciinsured.chubb.com and edit your AutoPay Registration Program.

For Personal Lines Insurance Customers:

(1) Call the toll-free number 1.866.324.8222, or
(2) Log-in to Chubb’s Personal Lines website www.chubb.com/paymybill.

4.) Currency:

Payments are based on U.S. currency. Payments made with an international credit/debit card may not be accepted.

5.) Errors:

You hereby agree to indemnify and hold Chubb harmless from any loss, claim, or liability of any kind by reason of dishonor of any debit. Chubb will not be responsible for any payment processing errors or fees incurred if you do not provide accurate contact information or fail to keep your account information up-to-date. If payment information is inaccurate or insufficient funds are available, Chubb may cancel policies associated with the billing account for nonpayment of premium as allowed by law and remove the billing account from the AutoPay Registration Program.

6.) Limitation of Liability:

IN NO EVENT WILL CHUBB BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH OR ARISING OUT OF THIS AGREEMENT.

7.) Termination in Program:

This authorization is to remain in full force until revoked by you at your discretion or Chubb, at its discretion.
You can cancel your recurring payment authorization only by the following means:

For Commercial Insurance Customers:

Log-in to www.sciinsured.chubb.com and edit your AutoPay Registration Program. This will transfer you to the Manage AutoPay screen where you can un-enroll.

For Personal Lines Insurance Customers:

(1) Call the toll-free number 1.866.324.8222, or
(2) Log-in to Chubb’s Personal Lines website www.chubb.com/paymybill and unsubscribe from the AutoPay Registration Program from the Chubb website
(3) Notifying Chubb in writing at: Chubb INA Holdings Inc. 202 Hall’s Mill Road Whitehouse Station, New Jersey 08889 Attn: AutoPay Department
You will need to provide your 16 digit billing account number in your request. Please do not include your bank account, credit card, or debit card information.

Termination or suspension will not affect your liability or obligations under this Agreement. Your request to cancel your recurring payment authorization must be received by Chubb at least three (3) business days before your statement due date. If your cancellation request is submitted after this time, the cancellation may not take effect until the following billing cycle. If you cancel your recurring payment authorization, you will then be responsible for taking the appropriate action to pay your bill on or before the statement due date. Unsubscribing from Chubb’s website will not cancel this recurring payment authorization.


8.) Governing Law/Severability of Provisions.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and controlling United States federal law without regard to any conflicts of law provisions, unless such law cannot be applied in a particular jurisdiction under prevailing applicable law. If any provision is deemed by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unlawful or unenforceable, it will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. The section headings are for convenience only and do not have any force or effect.

9.) Entire Agreement:

These terms and conditions will constitute your copy of your recurring payment authorization. Please print and retain a copy of this recurring payment authorization for your records.

Your clicking 'I Accept the Terms and Conditions' or selecting ‘Enroll in AutoPay’ constitutes your electronic signature on this Agreement. By clicking on “I accept” or “Enroll in AutoPay” you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the above terms and conditions as set forth in this Agreement.
